Are my images uploaded to your servers?
No. We use a powerful JavaScript library called Tesseract.js that runs Optical Character Recognition (OCR) directly inside your browser. Your images never leave your computer, ensuring 100% privacy and security.
Does this tool work offline?
Initially, it requires an internet connection to download the OCR language models (which are a few megabytes). Once cached by your browser, it can process subsequent images without a network connection.
What languages are supported?
Currently, our tool is optimized for English text. For best results, use images with clear, high-contrast, up-right text. Blurry or extremely stylized handwritten text might not be recognized perfectly.
